• CNG is CLEAN

  Natural gas is the cleanest commercially available fuel for transportation today. Natural Gas Vehicles (NGVs) produce between 93-95 percent less overall toxic emissions compared to gasoline and diesel vehicles, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 20-30 percent compared with diesel and gasoline fueled vehicles. Plus, CNG burns clean enough that oil change intervals can be increased to 35,000 miles or more.

• CNG is SAFE
  Fuel storage cylinders and supply lines are many times stronger than gasoline tanks and lines, making fuel line rupture less likely in an accident. Should a rupture occur, natural gas is lighter than air, and dissipates into the atmosphere. Statistics on millions of vehicles show that CNG-powered vehicles are far safer than those that run on gasoline.

• CNG is NOW
  CNG is being put to use in fleets today. There are over 1,100 CNG fuel stations in the US, and at least 500 more being funded with federal grants.
